We welcome families and friends — visits matter to our residents. To keep everyone safe and comfortable, all visitors agree to the following.
Before You Arrive
- Please do not visit if you have symptoms of illness (fever, cough, sore throat, stomach illness) or a recent positive test for a communicable illness.
- Check current visiting hours at the front desk or by calling (240) 599-8989.
Sign-In & Conduct
- All visitors sign in and out at reception and may be asked to complete a health screening and a Visitor Liability Waiver.
- Children are welcome and must be supervised by an adult at all times.
- Please respect resident privacy — no photographing or recording residents without their consent and staff awareness.
- No smoking, vaping, alcohol, or weapons anywhere on the premises.
- Pets may visit only with prior approval and current vaccination records.
- Please keep noise considerate, especially in memory support areas.
Visiting Discipline
To protect residents, The Charleston may limit, supervise, or end any visit, and may suspend or revoke visiting privileges for conduct that is unsafe, disruptive, harassing, or violates resident rights or these guidelines. If a concern is raised, our team will document it, discuss it with you, and, where possible, agree on a plan for future visits. Immediate risks to resident safety may result in removal from the premises.
