Patrick Goff

Executive Director

Born and raised in Charles County, Patrick comes from a healthcare background of working for In-Home Senior Healthcare, Orthopedics, and Urgent/Emergency care. He came on at The Charleston as Business Office Manager and Director of Human Resources and hasn’t looked back since. His true passion is doing his part to help people stay positive and have a great day!
“When a resident or staff member is dealing with something difficult, I take pride in being able to help them cope and maybe even see the bright side or the light at the end of the tunnel. That makes me feel really good about what I get to do at The Charleston every day!”
Fun Fact about Patrick: He is the proud dad of 2 beautiful girls; a 9 year old and 5 month old!

Laura Fuesel

Assistant Director of Dining Services

Laura received her B.S. from Virginia Tech in Kitchen and Bath Design and Interior Furnishings with minors in Business and Art History. After college, she managed front of the house operations for a French Bakery.
This is Laura’s first time actually working full time in a kitchen and she truly enjoys building lasting and meaningful relationships with all the residents. Her desserts are definitely a weekly highlight, to the point where people us on Facebook if we are considering opening the bakery to the public!
“The residents all have interesting stories to tell. We’ve recently been taking some of their old recipes and trying them in the kitchen so they can share their experiences with everyone. The Charleston is truly a one of a kind place and experience.”
Fun Fact about Laura: Baking is in her blood; she recently learned that her mother’s relatives in Germany once owned a bakery! (On her father’s side, they had a traveling circus…true story!)

Colleen Leighty

Human Resources Director

Colleen received her AS in Business Administration from the College of Southern MD and is currently studying to obtain her RN. While getting her degrees, she has been developing her professional administrative skills and knowledge in the healthcare industry. She is an invaluable member of the Charleston Administrative Team and as the Business Office Administrative Assistant and Front Desk Manager, she spends her days helping people, honing processes and training our Concierge team.
“The connections I have made with the residents are priceless. I get to make a difference in people’s lives every day; people I genuinely care about! I get to help our residents feel safe, nourished, supported and dignified; that is the true reward of being a part of this community. We are truly setting a new standard in Assisted Living and Senior Care and that is an incredible thing to be a part of.”
Fun Fact about Colleen: She has 2 giant dogs that our residents adore! Charlie, the bull mastiff and Lola, the cane corso!

Kelly Williams

Maintenance Director

Kelly was born and raised in Washington, D.C. and graduated from Eastern Senior High School. He realized his hardworking and dedicated nature very young while working through his entire high school career. Others also recognized his exemplary work ethic and skills in management which is how he was recommended for a contract with the Naval Hospital as the Environmental Supervisor. He was thrilled because he knew that the President of the United States would go to that hospital should the need arise; however, he never did have the pleasure of meeting the president. This is how he began his career in healthcare though!
In all of Kelly’s 27 years of management and 18 of those years in healthcare, he has had the opportunity to work for Southern Maryland Hospital, Forestville Health and Rehab, and Genesis La Plata and now at The Charleston Senior Community as the Environmental & Maintenance Director.
“Something I mastered a long time ago is doing more listening than talking, which has taught me a great deal and really helped me to excel in my career. It’s a great skill to have when working with seniors; they love to be heard and I enjoy listening."
Fun Fact about Kelly: He knows how to get in the kitchen and burn!

kesha holloway

Kesha Holloway

Activities Director

Kesha Holloway studied Fashion Merchandising at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. During which time she discovered her passion for caring for people. Following her education, she switched gears and spent over a decade in the early childcare field. Some of her experience includes being a private nanny; Early Childhood Education at an Early Learning Center and Preschool, and Middle School classroom aide at a public Charter School in Washington, D.C. Last summer, she was offered the opportunity to care for an entirely different population here at The Charleston, and focus on activities for aging seniors and she’s so happy that she took the leap.
“I have become extremely passionate about assisted living and senior healthcare because my joy comes from helping people! I believe our seniors deserve the best care possible! And their families deserve the peace of mind that comes with knowing their loved one is living in a safe, caring and fulfilling environment and that is exactly what The Charleston provides.”
Fun Fact about Kesha: She loves any and all history having to do with monarchy, kings, queens and palaces!
