Working directly with people has always been in the cards for Emily, as she grew up being called the “social butterfly” of the family. Previously, she worked for a local IT company doing their social media marketing and volunteering with the Young Professionals Group of Charles County. Emily joined The Charleston team in April of 2018 as one of the two Marketing Coordinators. She assists seniors and their families with placement into The Charleston. She spends her days giving tours, planning local events and making sure our residents feel at home.
“I asked a resident the other day what her biggest piece of advice was and she said don’t ever stop something until you’re finished. With that being said, our marketing team is determined to create a new outlook on assisted living by providing luxury styled living. I decided to stay local and give back to the community I grew up in. Working with seniors and learning about how much Southern Maryland has changed over the years creates a new meaning to the job.” Fun Fact: Emily has two rescue cats that she absolutely adores.
